Personalized Videos and Highlights per Month

One of the big new features of Spotify's Wrapped in 2023 are personalized videos recorded by artists and sent to users who listened to their music the most during the year. Names like Maluma, Marina Sena and Bruno Cardoso, the lead singer of Sorriso Maroto, appear on the screen, making the experience even more special. Additionally, Spotify divides the retrospective by months, revealing which song you listened to most in each period of the year.

“Me in 2023” and “My Musical World”

Another exciting addition to the retrospective is the “Me in 2023” feature, which celebrates each user's streaming habits by identifying one of 12 personas that best describe the way Spotify was used. Examples include “Mutante” (your favorite artist is constantly changing), “Alquimista” (you create your own playlists more than anyone else) and “Raio de Sol” (your musical taste radiates the light in you with fun songs and lively songs dominating your playlist). Another highlight is “Meu Mundinho Musical”, which shows where there are users with similar musical habits to yours.

Most Played on Spotify in Brazil

Spotify also released the biggest highlights of the year in Brazil. Ana Castela leads as the most listened to artist in the country in 2023, while the duo Israel & Rodolffo dominates the top 5 most listened to songs and albums on the streaming app. Alok is the most listened to Brazilian artist abroad, and the most popular podcasts in Brazil include Podpah, Mano a Mano, Café da Manhã and Psychology in Practice. Surprisingly, the “Top Brasil” playlist is the most listened to in the country for the third consecutive year.

Women at the Top of the Charts

In Brazil, women dominate the most listened to music charts. “ Nosso Quadro ” by Ana Castela leads the ranking, followed by “ Leão ” by Marília Mendonça and “ Erro Gostoso ” by Simone Mendes. Songs by Israel & Rodolffo are also successful, with “Bombonzinho” and “Seu Brilho Sumiu” occupying positions in the ranking.

The Most Played Albums in Brazil

The list of most listened to albums in Brazil starts with “Escolhas, Vol. 2” by Zé Neto & Cristiano, followed by “Let's Bora, Vol. 2” by Israel & Rodolffo and “Dos Prédios Deluxe” by Veigh. “Manifesto Musical” by Henrique & Juliano, the most listened to album in the Spotify Retrospective 2022, continues in the ranking as the fourth most listened to this year, followed by “Dos Prédios” by Veigh, closing the top five positions.

The Most Played in the World
